# Be the accountant your town knows by name.

> Be the accountant your town knows by name. Bring your town its news every week, and the referrals come to you. We build it, you hit record.

Nobody picks the person who sees their tax return from a billboard. They ask around, and they go with a name they trust. Every week you bring your town its news, and they come to know you. We build the website, the newsletter and the social accounts, and send you the stories and the exact words to say.

## Most accountants are a listing in a directory.

A directory listing, a chamber of commerce plaque, a website nobody has touched since it went up. The work comes from referrals, and you hope the referrals keep coming.

Referrals come from people who feel they know you. Show up every week with your town's news, and the whole town starts to feel that way. You stop waiting on word of mouth and become the accountant people already know.

Everyone else waits for referrals. You bring your town its news.

## Stories an accountant explains better than anyone.

Most weeks you tell the town's news. Some weeks the news has numbers in it, and nobody explains them more clearly than you.

### The property tax bills are late this year.

Why the county is behind, when the bills should arrive, and the new date the first installment is due.

### The village board wants a new sales tax.

What the board is voting on, how much it would add at the register, what the money would pay for, and when the vote is.

### Free tax help at the library starts in February.

Who it's for, which days it runs, and what to bring with you.

## One client stays for a lifetime.

People keep the same accountant for years, then send their kids and their business partners. They rarely switch, and when they do pick someone new, they ask a friend or go with a name they recognize.

Be that name. A neighbor who has watched you explain the tax bill and the sales tax vote already knows you're careful with the details.

## Most marketing buys attention. We build trust.

We've made more than 20,000 local videos, and the ones that bring in customers all do the same few things. Here's the difference.

| What most accountants and CPAs do | What we do with you |
| --- | --- |
| **Buys attention.** Ads, mailers and paid leads. It all stops the day you stop paying. | **Builds trust.** Your face and your town's news, every week. It adds up, and it stays with you. |
| **Talks about you.** Specials, before-and-afters, "call me today." People have seen it a hundred times and scroll past. | **Talks about them.** What's happening in their town. People watch, and they remember who told them. |
| **Chases views.** Trends and sounds that strangers three states away watch. Views aren't customers. | **Reaches neighbors.** The people in your town, the only ones who can actually hire you. |
| **Buries the point.** A slow intro and a logo. The scroll wins in two seconds. | **Answers first.** One real question per video, answered in the first sentence. That's what makes a stranger trust you. |
| **Shows up when it can.** Twenty ideas posted once, then nothing for a month. | **Shows up every week.** The same rhythm, week after week, until your town expects you. |
| **Disappears.** A post is gone in two days, and AI can't watch a video. | **Keeps working.** What you say lands on your town's website, where search engines and AI can read it for years. |

## Three steps.

Step 01

### Get the week's stories.

Every week we send you what happened in your town, already checked, with the finished script for each one. Keep the good ones, skip the rest.

Step 02

### Hit record.

Read the exact words, in your voice, at the length you record. Your opener and your sign-off are already in the script.

Step 03

### Post everywhere.

Post the video everywhere at once with Unbusied, which comes with your seat. The same story goes on your town's website and into its newsletter.

### Tax season is brutal. Do I have to keep this up in March and April?

Yes, and we keep it light. A week of videos takes one short sitting because we write the words. You can also record a few weeks ahead in the slower months, so tax season stays covered.

### I'm not a camera person. Will this feel awkward?

A little, at first. Everyone starts there. You're reading words we already wrote, about things happening in your town, and after a few weeks it feels like talking to a neighbor.

### Do the videos talk about taxes?

Mostly no. Most weeks you tell your town its news: what's opening, what's closing, what the village board decided. When the news has numbers in it, like a tax bill or a budget vote, you're the one who explains it.

### Will this bring me new clients?

We don't promise that, and nobody honest can. Trust takes weeks of showing up. What changes first is that people start to recognize you, at the bank, at the school pickup line, at the farmers market. The referrals come from that.

### Can another accountant in my town do this too?

No. Each town has one host. Once it's you, we don't build the same thing for anyone else in your town.

### What about the rules for my profession?

The stories are local news, not advice and not claims about your services. Anything that promotes your own practice follows your state board of accountancy's rules: you approve every word before you record it, and if someone reviews your marketing, they see it first.

### Who owns the website and the accounts?

We do. We build, host and run them, which is why there's no build fee. You're the face and the voice of the brand. If you ever leave, the videos you made stay up and a new host can step in, so your town keeps its news.

### What does it cost?

$999 a month, month to month. That includes the website, the newsletter, the social accounts, every week's stories and scripts, Unbusied for posting, and a video chat with us every month.

## Nobody in your town has claimed this yet.

Your town will know you before they need you. Each town gets one host, so it might as well be you.
